The National Capital Artisans hosts shows every year in the spring and fall seasons.
These shows are well attended by the community and have been for years. They have gained a solid reputation as events not to be missed. Any artisan who creates handcrafted items, whether a member of the NCA or not, can participate in these shows. **Businesses with storefronts or staffed locations are not eligible to participate in NCA shows.
In 2025, National Capital Artisans (NCA) was excited to announce its collaboration with the Mental Illness Caregivers’ Association (MICA) to ensure the continuation of Art in Strathcona Park event. The annual outdoor event, held in Strathcona Park by the Rideau River, has served as a major fundraiser in support of those who care for individuals with mental illness. After many successful years, MICA has faced challenges that prevent them from continuing to organize the event. The NCA Executive, recognizing the value of this important initiative, has stepped in to support and carry it forward, ensuring that MICA’s mission continues to thrive for the benefit of our shared community.
If you are an artisan and would like to participate in NCA shows, please contact any member of the Executive Team and find out how easy it is to join the National Capital Artisans or to participate as a non-member. Please take a look at our standards and FAQs to get a sense of the quality of the works artists and artisans bring to NCA shows.
Send an email to us for any inquiries about shows.
All of our shows are juried (with the exception of Art in Strathcona Park) and category quotas apply.
If you have questions, please see our FAQs or contact us via our contact page or email us.
